Guided Tour: Barranco do Velho

This guided tour will take you down into a deep ravine in the heart of the Algarve highlands, this small rural community is an example of how humanity can prosper in harsh environments. Even though the highlands have weak soils where farming is a challenge it still produces a valuable resource. The cork from these hills is considered the best in the world.

Highlights:

Due to unpredictable weather, it is advised to have water proof boots and jacket prepared in case of rain;

Note: Groups of minimum 2 people and maximum 15 people;
This guided tour is not advisable during the months of July and August;
Visitors without appropriate footwear will not be able to take the tour for their safety, and no refunds will be given.
